What we process
Images posted in WhatsApp groups you map (payment screenshots), the sender's WhatsApp display name and — where WhatsApp shares it — phone number, and the payment details read from each image. Account data for your team members.
Purpose limitation
Bookkeeping and audit only: building ledgers, reconciling with bank statements, and exports for your firm. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Sub-processors
- Anthropic (AI extraction of payment details from screenshots), under the firm’s own API account and its Anthropic terms
- Cloud hosting and object storage in an India region
- Resend (transactional email) — the platform sender, or the firm’s own Resend account if configured
Retention
Your firm chooses how long screenshot images are kept (6, 12, 24 months or 7 years). Ledger records are kept for the life of your account. Backups expire after 30 days.
Your rights
Firm owners can export all data and request deletion of the account at any time. Individuals can contact the firm that collected their data, or write to privacy@ledgerlens.in.
Breach notification
We notify affected firms and the Data Protection Board as required by law. Our internal runbook is in docs/runbooks.
